Fight For Children Staff Simon Jackson Simon Jackson joined Fight For Children as Director of Development in November 2008. He brings ten years of fundraising and education experience to Fight For Children and now focuses on raising funds to support Fight For Children’s program initiatives. Prior to joining Fight For Children, Mr. Jackson was the Assistant Director of Corporate Relations for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, where he focused on an $80 million capital campaign to build the National Law Enforcement Museum, set to open in 2012. He has also worked as Director of Annual Giving at Valley Forge Military Academy and College (PA), and as Assistant Director of the Annual Fund at the University of Richmond. For three years he was a Center Director for SCORE! Educational Centers, a subsidiary of the Washington Post, which provides tutoring services for children in kindergarten through tenth grade. Mr. Jackson is a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Washington DC, and Future Leaders in Philanthropy. He is a former board member of Philadelphia's Young Nonprofit Leaders. Mr. Jackson received his Bachelor’s degree in English, with a concentration in elementary education from the University of Richmond. |
